Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire through WorkBase?
Nothing upfront. A one-off placement fee is only payable when you successfully hire one of our candidates — no placement, no fee.
What if a placed candidate doesn't work out?
It depends when. Full refund or free replacement in weeks 1–2, 50% refund or a discounted replacement in weeks 3–6, and no obligation after week 6 — provided it's down to suitability or performance, not a change you've made to the role.
Is it really free for candidates?
Yes. Under UK law, employment agencies cannot charge work-seekers for helping them find a permanent role, and it's a principle we'd stand by regardless — you will never be charged to find work through WorkBase.
Do you place temporary staff?
We're primarily a permanent recruitment agency, but we do handle temporary and contract requirements too — email or call us directly and we'll talk through what you need.
