WorkBase was founded on a simple frustration: too many agencies chase quick wins, flood employers with CVs and leave candidates in the dark. We wanted to build the opposite.
Why WorkBase exists
WorkBase was started by two people who'd seen the same problem from both sides of the hiring desk: employers buried under a hundred barely-relevant CVs, and candidates ghosted by agencies the moment a placement fee wasn't on the table. Warehouse, logistics and driving roles are the backbone of UK supply chains, yet the recruitment serving them is often the least careful — high volume, low attention, built for speed over fit.
We set out to build something different: a permanent recruitment agency that treats warehouse, logistics and driver hiring with the same care and rigour usually reserved for office roles. That means fewer, better-matched introductions instead of a flood of CVs, straight answers instead of vague updates, and a genuine stake in getting the match right — because our guarantee means it costs us, not you, if it doesn't work out.
We're building WorkBase from the ground up, deliberately — as a lean, specialist agency rather than a generalist one trying to cover every sector. We'd rather be excellent in warehouse, logistics and driving recruitment than average at everything.

We're building WorkBase to become one of the UK's most trusted names in warehouse, logistics and driver recruitment — and, over time, to extend the same careful approach into manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction and office support recruitment. Every stage of that growth will be built on the same principle we started with: match properly, or don't do it at all.
